Engineering and Design

In Engineering and Design, we use team-focused activities using the design process to construct various projects that tie to the adopted district standards.  The upper grades focus on building projects that require a hands-on approach. They construct bridges, gliders, catapults, mousetrap-powered cars, etc., and are eligible to join the Blaine County Bots: VEX Robotics Club that begins later this school year.  The primary grades do more exploratory building using K’Nex, LEGOs, and other similar products to refine their motor skills but transition to constructing things in 2nd grade.
